Nicola McCreanney

Parent Governor

Nicola joined as parent governor in June 2026

I am delighted to join the Governing Body at Le Rocquier School as a Parent Governor. Having grown up in Jersey and now raising my own family here, I care deeply about the opportunities and experiences available to young people on our island. With one of my two sons currently in Year 7 at Le Rocquier, I have the privilege of seeing school life through both a parent's and a governor's lens, giving me a strong personal investment in the success of the school and its community.

Education has been at the heart of my career for many years. I have worked across schools in both Jersey and the UK as a teacher and SENCO, and I am currently an Assistant Headteacher at a local special school. Alongside my professional experience in education, inclusion, safeguarding, and leadership, I hold a Bachelor of Education degree and a Master's degree in Autism.

I am particularly passionate about creating environments where every child feels valued, understood, and able to thrive. I believe that inclusion is about more than support systems—it is about building a culture where all young people feel they belong and are empowered to achieve their potential.

I am excited to contribute to the continued success of Le Rocquier School and to work alongside staff, governors, parents, and students to help ensure that every young person receives the best possible education and opportunities for the future.
